Cody O’Ryan, all American high school football star, craves popularity and dates with hot girls, especially with head cheerleader Kelly Hudson. After a spectacular play, that won the game for his team, he is invited to a victory party that Kelly will definitely attend. His plans are derailed when his mother is called in to work, and he has to babysit the bane of his existence, his younger, nerdy brother, Chandler. Things become catastrophic when Cody is forced to take Chandler to the store and they briefly bump into Kelly, and even more daunting, during an apparent store robbery. Faced with a life and death event and fearing that this may be their last day on Earth together, Cody and Chandler must set aside their differences and come to terms with their true feelings about life, family and their feelings for each other. “Clean Up on Aisle Nine” is a traditional heart-warming comedy, written and directed by Derrick J. Johnson, that promises to keep you laughing all the way to the toilet.


About the Director: Derrick J. Johnson, born in Ocala, Florida is the youngest child of Robert and Sandra Johnson. He attended the University of South Florida, where he earned a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration degree. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and served as a certified Legal Intern for the Domestic Violence Unit of Miami Dade State Attorney’s office. More recently he was admitted into Miami Dade College School of Entertainment & Design Technology’s B.A.S Film program. A true renaissance man, Johnson has a very diverse background as a writer and as a director. Johnson has published a book of poetry called “The Awakening of the Dreamer” and he has written seven films, directed several short films, which includes, “The Proposal and “On Borrowed Time,” and he directed two feature length films,” “Vow” and “Victim.” He has served as the Director of Photography on the short film, “The Rose,” which was directed by Matthew Pappas and he has produced several films including “The Perfect Plan,” “Vanished” and “Booted.” Johnson also serves as legal counsel for Pros & Cons Productions who produced the films “Change to Silence” and “The Watching."
