About the Director: Adi Wojaczek
Adi Wojaczek was born on 8th of April 1983 in Upper Silesia (Poland) and moved with his family to Düsseldorf (Germany) in 1987.
From 2008 to 2012 he studied film direction at the Ruhrakademie Schwerte and managed to win several awards for national video competitions.
His biggest success was winning "Best Film" at the "99Fire Films Award" during Berlinale 2015: "Malou" was about a dancer with one leg, who's only wish was to dance on a big stage.
The same year he created the ad "Sodastream: Zombies" which aired a few months in Germany and several countries in Europe.
2016 his East German drama „Die Mauer/The Wall“ qualified for the 89. Academy Awards 2017.
And the next year his transgender drama "Luca" was also longlisted for the Academy Awards 2018.
